Chef Chris is an accomplished culinary professional and educator with two decades of experience in hospitality management, culinary arts, and teaching.
Chris holds a Master of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality and Tourism Management. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management from Norfolk State University and an Associate degree in Culinary Arts from Tidewater Community College.
Throughout his career, Chef Chris has held leadership roles in high-volume restaurants, including Executive Chef at PJ Mulligans Irish Pub and District Manager for Waffle House, where he led some of Virginia’s top-performing locations. He has also been a private chef for the Norfolk Tides (Triple A baseball team) players and coaches. His strong operational skills include menu development, cost control, staff training, and kitchen management. Since 2019, he has been a dedicated Chef Instructor for Fairfax County Public Schools, fostering a dynamic, positive learning environment and preparing the next generation of culinary professionals.
Chef Chris is Food Manager (Alwaysfoodsafe) certified and actively maintains a teaching license. His passion for culinary arts, education, and leadership continues to drive his commitment to excellence in both the kitchen and the classroom.
